DPR RI Commission II hands over 40 land certificates for low-income families in Banjar
sbn-MARTAPURA, Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives Muhammad Rifqinizamy Karsayuda, together with Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs Ossy Dermawan and Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Akhmad Wiyagus, visited Banjar Regency on Wednesday (2/9/2026).
THEY officially handed over 40 land ownership certificates to eligible low-income families in Mekar Village, East Martapura District.
A key policy shift was announced: the government now secures legal certainty and clean land status before housing improvement support is provided — reversing the previous order — to prevent waste of public funds and future disputes.
By far in 2026, 3,154 land titles have been issued across South Kalimantan alone, with more to come.
Officials urged recipients to protect their documents and avoid reckless pawning, while authorities will also improve roads and clean water access.
Regent Saidi Mansyur welcomed this national-local coordination and offered interest-free small business financing so families can keep their land as a lasting asset.
In this event alone, certificates covering a total area of 6,209 square meters were granted to local residents.***
